She has been working with sound, radio and sound waves for years. For the celebrations, Philipsz created a sound installation called &#8220;Interval Signals&#8221;, which has become part of the permanent collection of MAMbo &#8211; Museo d&#8217;Arte Moderna di Bologna. The work consists of recordings made by Philipsz on a vibraphone of a number of radio interval signals. In Philipsz&#8217;s own words, a radio interval signal is &#8220;a short musical sequence that is usually played before the start or during breaks in radio broadcasts&#8221;. The work is then broadcast live, 24 hours a day, via this website.
